Action: Myrtle is an expectorant, is anti-infectious, a liver stimulant, prostate decongestant, a light antispasmodic, a regular for the thyroid and ovary, and a tonic for the skin.
Traditional Uses: Myrtle has been researched by Dr. Daniel Penoel for normalizing hormonal imbalances of the thyroid and ovaries. Myrtle has also been researched for its soothing effects on the respiratory system.
Indications: Bronchitis, coughs hypothyroidism, insomnia, sluggish thyroid, prostate congestion, respiratory tract ailments, sinus infection, tuberculosis, and ureter infections.
Other Uses: Myrtle essential oil may help anger, astma, respiratory infections, cystitis, diarrha, dysentery, impaired digestion, hemorrhoids, and hormonal imbalances. Myrtle may support the immune system, fight infections, sinusitis, infectious diseases, and pulmonary disorders, aid skin conditions (acne, blemishes, bruises, oily skin, psoriasis, etc.). Useful on childern for chest complaints and coughs.
