Acorus calamus, Calamus Essential Oil, Nepal has a sweet lasting odor, warm, woody-spicy with increasingly sweet body-notes.

Calamus can be used to help digestive problems, nervous complaints, and headaches, and is used to increase the appetite.
Calamus was an herb traditional used in Egypt and India to help improve mental focus, wisdom, and sexuality. In China Calamus oil was used to aid in the recovery from stroke. Historically, Native Americans would hold a piece of calamus root in their mouths when running long distances to increase their endurance.
Application: Singers can use calamus to numb their throat so they can clear the phlegm, and keep singing.
Other Uses: Calamus oil can be used to help reduce the desire for tobacco. When rubbed on the feet, calamus may help with asthma, bronchitis, colic, memory loss, stroke, and depression.
Some experts compare the scent to dried milk or sweet leather but in my personal opinion it smells reminiscent of tapioca pudding.
The main constituents are alpha and beta asarone at a combined total of up to 90%. Although calamus has been used since Biblical times beta-asarone is now considered to be a carcinogen and caution should be used with this oil.
The Acorus Calamus is a prennial plant known in the lower 48 as "Sweet Flag" "Sweet Root," "Sweet Myrtle," and "Sweet Cinnamon."
