Spikenard Essential Oil, Green, Nepal, (Nardostachys jatamansi), Spikenard is highly regarded in India as a perfume, medicinal herb, and skin tonic.

Action:  Spikenard oil is antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, a deodorant, relaxing, and a skin tonic.

Traditional Uses:  Spikenard is highly regarded in India as a perfume, medicinal herb, and skin tonic.  Spikenard was one of the most precious oils in ancient times, used only by priests, kings or high initiates.  References in the New Testament describe how Mary of Bethany used a salve of spikenard to anoint the head of Jesus before the Last Supper.

Indications:  Spinkenard oil is known for helping in the treatment of allergic skin reactions.

Other Uses:  Spikenard oil may also help with allergies, candida, indigestion, insomnia, menstrual difficulties, migraine, nausea, rashes, bacterial infections, stress, tachycardia, tension, and wounds that will not heal.  According to Dietrich Gumbel, PhD Spikenard strengthens the heart and circulatory system.

Application:  Apply to the abdomen or on location for soothing and calming action.
