Damiana is a small shrub that grows to be 3 to 6 feet tall, that bears sweet-smelling, serrated leaves growing upto 10 inches long. Small yellow flowers bloom in summer and are followed by small fruits with a fig-like taste. Damiana is used even today to make a liquer in Mexico that is quite popular. The damiana herb has been reputed as excellent for focusing sexual energies, aid in reducing pain, easing anxiety, and soothing digestive problems.
