Grapefruit Essential Oil, Pink, USA, (Citrus Paradisi), have a cleansing effect on the kidneys, the lymphatic system, and the vascular system.

Action:  Grapefruit is antiseptic, disinfecting, detoxifying, and diuretic.  Like many cold-pressed citrus oils, Grapefruit essential oil has unique fat-dissolving characteristics.  Grapefruit oil is exceptionally cleansing for oily skin.  Psychologically, Grapefruit oil is an antidepressant and is emotionally uplifting.

Indications:  Acne, cellulite, digestion, and fluid retention.

Other Uses:  Grapefruit essential oil may help with depression, drug withdrawal, eating disorder, fatigue, jet lag, liver disorders, migraine headaches, premenstrual tension, and stress.  Grapefruit oil may also have a cleansing effect on the kidneys, the lymphatic system, and the vascular system.

Application:  Diffuse or apply topically.  Add to food or rice milk as a dietary supplement or flavoring.

Fragrant Influence:  Refreshing and uplifting.

Safety Data:  If pregnant or under a doctor's care, consult physician.  NOTE: Grapefruit can be mildly photosensitizing.  Avoid direct exposure to sunlight/UV rays for 3 days after using this oil topically.

Companion Oils:  Basil oil, Bergamot oil, Cedarwood oil, German chamomile oil, Cypress oil, Frankincense oil, Geranium oil, Juniper oil, Lavender oil, Peppermint oil, Rosemary oil CT cineol, Rosewood oil, and Ylang Ylang oil.

Grapefruit Essential Oil, Pink, USA has a milder less tenacious aroma than the other two grapefruits listed.  The typical grapefruit smell is easily recognized.  For blends requiring grapefruit this variety might be economically more prudent.  It works well with other citrus oils, particularly Bergamot oil and Yuzu oil.
