Dill Essential Oil, India, (Anethum graveolens), extracted through steam distillation of dried seeds. Basic components of Dill Essential Oil are D-Carvone, Dillapiol, Eugenol, Limonene, Terpinene and Myristicin.
Action: Dill is antispasmodic, antibacterial, carminative, digestive, Disinefectant, galactogogue, sedative, stomachic. vulnerary, sudorific, an expectorant, and stimulant.
Traditional Uses: The Dill plant is mentioned in the Papyrus of Ebers from Egypt (1550 BC). Roman gladiators rubbed their skin with Dill before each match. It used in European hospitals. Since ancient times, Dill seeds are associated with magical healing powers.
