Cumin Essential Oil, Egypt, (Cuminum cyminum), Cumin seeds work with our salivary gland which also consists of Thymol present in the Cumin seeds has stimulating properties that promotes your sluggish digestion, but also helps you getting relief from stomach ache when taken with lukewarm water.  Cumin being rich in iron if taken regulary in your diet may help people with anaemia when adding it in your diet.  

Cumin Essential Egypt has a history dating back to the earliest Mediterranean empires and is also known as "Roman Caraway."  The aroma is powerful, spicy, green and fatty.  The main constituent is Cumin Aldehyde but the characteristic odor is probably due to monoterpenes and dihydrocuminaldehyde.  The aldehyde content ranges between 35 and 63 percent.  It also contains p-cymene, phelllandrene and cuminyl alcohol.

Action:  Cumin Essential oil is antiviral, an immune stimulant, helps appetite and digestion, and acts as a liver regulator.

Traditional Uses:  A tradition suggest that the ancient Hebrews used cumin as an antispetic for circumcision.

Indications:  Poor circulation, indigestion, digestive spasms, headaches, migraines, asthma, bronchitis and respiratory problems. 

Other Uses:  Cuminum cyminum is calming and a powerful support to the immune system.  It may also help with wound healing and scars.  Components of aromatic essential oils in cumin seeds have great anti-congestive property that helps the relief from asthma, bronchitis and other respiratory problems.

Application:  Diffuse or apply topically.  Dilution may be required.  Skin test for sensitivity before using without a carrier oil.
