Salvia Sclarea, Clary Sage Essential Oil, High Sclareol.  You may ask what is Sclareol?  Sclareol a fragrant chemical compound in Clary Sage (Salvia sclarea) where its name is derived.  Sclarea is classified a bicyclic diterpene alcohol an amber colored solid with sweet, balsamic scent.  Sclareol is used as a fragrance in cosmetics and perfumes and as a flovoring in food.  Sclareol with similar substances may be prepared from sclareolide.  Sclareol is also able to kill human leukemic cells and colon cancer cells by apoptosis.[2][3]

Clary Sage Essential Oil, High Sclareol has a fresh and delicate top-note which progresses into rich sweet-herbaceous body-note of long duration.  Its dry-out notes are balsamic-ambra-like, reminiscent of tobacco and sweet hay, tea leaves, with unusual tenacity.

Action:  Clary Sage Essential Oil is antidiavetic, helps reduce high cholesterol, is estrogen like, supports hormones, is anti-infectious, antifungal, antispasmodic, relaxing, antibacterial, and may help with epilepsy, menopause, and PMS.

Traditional Uses:  The name "Clary" Sage came from the nickname "clear eyes," given in the Middle Ages, because of its ability to cure eye conditions.

Indications:  Bronchitis, cholesterol, hemorrhoids, hormonal imbalance, insomnia, intestinal cramps, menstrual cramps, PMS, pre-menopause, and weak digestion.
